JSS volunteer Jay Minhas and his father Bhadwant S. Minhas presented a cheque to Ludhiana's Nishkam Sewa Ashram, to help pay for the weddings of impoverished Sikh, Hindu and Muslim couples.
The JSS paid for 27 marriages for improvised. Lunch service at wedding ceremony.
The Sanjeevani Shelter for Women in Punjab helps young females and their children - who don't otherwise have support - stand on their own.
Through the International Red Cross, the JSS donated bed nets to protect African families from malaria.
The JSS paid for Ranjeet Kaur's entire college education in Punjab. She recently received a degree in Engineering.
