JSS Canadian Contributions
The JSS support individual and families in need. Gloria (top) is a single mother of two. Both her children suffer from brain tumours and require ongoing care.
In 2008, Vancouver experienced a drop in temperature that left four Downtown Eastside homeless shelters scrambling to find blankets. The JSS donated 308 blankets and 100 new jackets to Salvation Army Harbour Lights for distribution.
Each year the JSS donated much needed supplies, such as jackets and socks, to the homeless in the Downtown Eastside.
The JSS gave a cheque to the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion to support teens with developmental disabilities in becoming fully participating members in society. The program doesn't receive government funding.
